The Thrive For Malaysian Civil Servants’ Financial Wellness: Xanderia’s Collaborative Initiative with CUEPACS

PreviousNext

Recently, Xanderia took part in the Perhimpunan Perkhidmatan Awam 2024 roadshow in Sungai Petani, Kedah, to promote the CUEPACS Sedia Bantu Program on the 21st of January 2024. This noteworthy event brought together civil servants from across Kedah, gathering to hear insights from the President of the Congress of Union of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (CUEPACS), Dato’ Dr Adnan bin Mat, concerning civil servants’ financial well-being in Malaysia.

During the 2024 Kedah State Perhimpunan Perkhidmatan Awam 2024 at Dewan Kenangan Sultan Abdul Hamid, Sungai Petani Municipal Council complex, Dato’ Dr Adnan Bin Mat addressed the audience, shedding light on the urgent issue of the current inadequacy of civil servants’ wages to cover the escalating cost of living.

Xanderia’s active participation in the Perhimpunan Perkhidmatan Awam 2024 signifies their engagement with civil servants to provide solutions for their financial challenges. The CUEPACS Sedia Bantu Program serves as a platform for financial restructuring specialised for Malaysian civil servants. Through this program, civil servants will be able to explore financial solutions and obtain financial literacy knowledge that will improve as well as enhance their financial well-being in the long run.

Dato’ Dr Adnan stressed the immediate need for a salary increase, urging the government to take prompt action. While acknowledging the government’s plans for the new Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA), he emphasised that waiting for its full implementation might exacerbate the financial strain on civil servants. Cuepacs proposed a provisional increase of approximately RM300, which could be adjusted once the new SSPA is ready. Dato’ Dr Adnan suggested that, in the interim, a special allowance could be considered to address the immediate financial concerns of civil servants.

In conclusion, Xanderia’s active engagement in the Perhimpunan Perkhidmatan Awam 2024 shows its commitment to address the financial challenges faced by Malaysian civil servants. The collaboration with CUEPACS and the promotion of the CUEPACS Sedia Bantu Program exemplify a shared dedication to finding immediate solutions for the well-being of civil servants. The collective efforts of Xanderia and CUEPACS aim to pave the way for a more financially secure future for civil servants in Malaysia.
