Among the significant highlights of the event was the announcement of a substantial RM100,000 allocation bestowed upon the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services(Cuepacs) by the Ministry of Human Resources, Steven Sim Chee Keong. This financial injection serves to fortify union’s development initiatives. With strategic plans for workshops and seminars aimed at augmenting civil servants’ productivity and refining the government’s service delivery, this allocation is to yield enhancements in public service efficiency and effectiveness.
Expressing deep gratitude for the allocation, Datuk Adnan Mat also hailed the government’s decision to implement a more than 13 per cent increase in civil servants’ salaries, characterizing it as a long overdue and profoundly impactful measure following years of stagnant wage growth. This shows that the economy is strong and able to support increase in salary and spending where Xanderia will be able to provide its Islamic personal financing services to all civil servants.

Human Resources Minister Steven Sim echoed Adnan’s sentiments, attributing the salary increase to Cuepacs’ advocacy efforts on behalf of civil servants. He underscored the pivotal role played by civil servants as the nation’s frontline defenders, emphasizing that the salary adjustment underscores the government’s resolute recognition of their invaluable contributions. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s recent announcement of the significant salary increase, scheduled to come into effect on December 1st of the current year, stands as a resounding affirmation of the government’s unwavering commitment to uplifting the welfare and morale of civil servants across the nation.
