DEX Connex Indonesia 2024, spearheaded by MDEC in collaboration with esteemed partners like the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta, MATRADE Indonesia, and MITI Jakarta, marked a pivotal moment in cross-border collaboration. This groundbreaking event brought together 71 Malaysian tech companies, one of which attended by Xanderia’s group CEO and over 30 Indonesian partners in Jakarta, fostering connections that are expected to generate RM250 million worth of digital export opportunities. With the presence of Ts. Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of MDEC, and dignitaries including the Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia, the excellency Dato’ Syed Md Hasrin Tengku Hussin, the occasion underscored the importance of bolstering economic ties between the two nations which practices Shariah compliant financing in daily trades.

Also included, Mr. Gopi Ganesalingam, Senior Vice President of Digital Exports at MDEC, highlighted the “Malaysia Digital Initiative” to fortify bilateral trade. The formal exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Malaysian and Indonesian companies further solidified this commitment, signaling a significant stride towards enhancing bilateral cooperation and shared prosperity. Furthermore, MDEC hosted Malaysia Diaspora Night serves to unite industry peers from Indonesia and Malaysia, showcasing a collective dedication to uplifting Malaysian tech companies on the global stage.
